Graphical Programming
I’ve completed some learning on graphical programming using pyangelo by following a website and doing the tasks required. Once I’ve completed all the modules, I used the graphical programming skills I’ve learnt from it and designed my own game called Fruit Catcher.
Here’s my progress, not in any particular order:
Colours: Rocket
Colouring in a rocket by changing the RGB values.
Code your own house
Drawing a house by drawing circles, lines, rectangles
Drawing a Snowman
Drawing a snowman and tree by using the def() function
Penalty kick
Moving a soccer ball for a penalty kick
Subsonic Game
A two player hedgehog andtornado game
Bye bye sunshine
Moving the sun down until it sets
Random level generator
Randomly generating a game level for in range()
Alien evasion
Upgrading the alien evasion game
Bouncing in the Box
Bouncing different sprites within a box
Fruit Catcher
My original game created after completing the modules
Science Talent Search 2025
I entered the science talent search in 2025 for the category of computer programs and created a game based on the sleep cycle called ‘The Cycle’. It’s a game that essentially lets you play through the four stages of the sleep cycle, each with a minigame representative of what actually occurs while you’re sleeping. I was awarded with a major bursary for this entry.
